Family Of Man Who Fell In Water Off East Providence Asks For Help

The family of Dennis Lonardo is asking community members to help continue the search.

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — The family of the man who fell into the water near the East Providence Yacht Club earlier this month is asking for the public's help to continue the search, reported WPRI.

Dennis Lonardo, 61, was reported missing on March 5. First responders conducted a search from March 6 through March 8 after receiving reports that Lonardo was last seen walking near the waterline and had fallen in, but were unable to locate him.

"While we know what the ultimate conclusion will be, we ask that whoever is able will continue to aid us in our search so that we can bring him home and bring closure to our family," said the family in a statement, which described Lonardo as "a beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather."
