Gianna Spremullo Wins Double Gold At State Swim Championships
The Bay View Academy sophomore won individual state titles in the 200-yard individual medley and the 100-yard backstroke.
EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — Bay View Academy's Gianna Spremullo won two gold medals at this weekend's state swim meet. Gianna, a sophomore, won individual state titles in the 200-yard individual medley (2:04.78) and the 100-yard backstroke (56.94), the school said. She beat the competition by more than eight seconds combined. Gianna is a Cranston resident. The Bay View team finished in 6th place overall in a field of 27 teams.
