Nearly 6,000 residents lost power Thursday evening after a goose flew into a transformer.

EAST PROVIDENCE — A goose caused over 6,000 East Providence residents to lose power Thursday evening, reported ABC6.

The outage took place at approximately 6:45 p.m.

The goose reportedly flew into a transformer, causing some people to lose power for several hours, said East Providence Police and Fire Departments.
