Maria daConceicao Correia, 74: Assembler for Fort Inc., Grandmother

Maria daConceicao Correia, 74 of Sweetbriar Avenue, died Monday, Nov. 18, 2013 at Rhode Island Hospital, according to Perry-McStay Funeral Home.  

She was the wife of Saturno D. Correia. Born in Relva, Sao Miguel, Azores she was a daughter of the late Manuel do Couto and Rosa (deJesus) Furtado. Correia was an assembler for Fort Inc. before retiring.

Besides her husband, she leaves three daughters, Lucy M. Melo and her husband Joseph of Bristol, Maria DaGraca and her husband John of Westboro,Ma and Maria Renquinha of Seekonk, three sons, Joseph Correia and his wife Isilda of Rehoboth, John Correia and his wife Helen of Rehoboth and Peter Correia of Virginia, 18 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 4 sisters, 4 brothers and several nieces & nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Cyrus Correia.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 8 a.m. from the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Ave., East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Francis Xavier Church, North Carpenter Street. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday 5-8 p.m.
