No Charges Filed In East Providence Middle School Melee

East Providence police said the juveniles were identified and a meeting with parents was held.

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — East Providence police said they have decided not to file charges against any juveniles involved in a large fight that took place at the Martin Middle School on Tuesday.

Police said investigating officers were able to identify all the juveniles involved, as well as witnesses, through video surveillance. Police said the video "showed the incident much more completely."

"Once all of the facts were uncovered, a meeting was held with the parents, charges were not filed and the investigation has been closed," police said.

Police said on Tuesday that they were "aware of the fighting incident that took place at Martin Middle School involving several juveniles and an active investigation into it continues."
