Lawrence "Larry" Hoague, 82, of Blanche Ave., died February 11, 2016 at RI Hospital with his family by his side.

Lawrence “Larry” Hoague, 82, of Blanche Ave., died February 11, 2016 at RI Hospital with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Betty (Martin) Hoague. Born on July 23, 1933, he was a son of the late Francis and Katherine (Whitehead) Hoague.


He was a Korean War Veteran serving with the US Army. He was a kind and gentle man. He was fond of his pets and was an avid fisherman.

In addition to his wife of 61 years; he is survived by his children and their spouses; Noreen and Stephen Brewer of NC, Darryl and Darlene Hoague of Cranston, 2 grandchildren, Sean Brewer, Sherry Nelson and her husband Grant all of NC, 5 great grandchildren; Shane, Kayla, Aiden, Olivia and Owen. He was the brother of Francis Hoague, JR. of Riverside and the late Bernadette Barrett, Eileen Brown, Judith Marcotriango and James Hoague.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Calling Hours from 1-4pm on Monday, February 15, 2016, at the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI. His Funeral Service will begin at 4pm. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to RI SPCA, 186 Amaral St., Riverside, RI 02915.
