Olympic Medalist From RI Hosts Swim Clinic In East Providence
Elizabeth Beisel taught kids swimming technique at Pods Swimming on Tuesday.
EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — Rhode Island native and Olympic medalist Elizabeth Beisel held a swim clinic for kids on Tuesday at Pods Swimming in East Providence, reported NBC 10 News.
At the two-hour-long clinic, Beisel taught participating kids swimming technique and held a question and answer session.
Beisel, who has formally retired from her swimming career, held the event to inspire children to follow in her footsteps.

All proceeds from the clinic, including the $50 registration fee, will be donated to Save The Bay, a nonprofit that is working to protect and improve Narragansett Bay.
Beisel now heads to Tokyo for the summer summer Olympics as a swimming analyst for NBC. The Opening Ceremony will take place on July 23 and the games will run through August 9.
