
RI General Treasurer and recently declared gubernatorial candidate Gina Raimondo visited the East ProvidenceRotary Club to meet members at the weekly meeting and answer questions about Treasury’s efforts to engage the community in financial literacy.
“I am proud to meet with civic leaders and community members to share how Treasury is helping Rhode Islanders,” said Raimondo. “Our state is trying to grow, and programs such as EverFi, the Financial Coaching Corps, and alternative payday lending are making Rhode Island stronger.”
Raimondo announced her candidacy Thursday in a four-and-half minute video posted to YouTube yesterday. In the video, she said Rhode Islanders deserve leaders who don't simply kick big problems down the road, but solve issues that affect everyone in thes state.
