RI Weather: Updated Snow Totals Town-By-Town
A winter storm warning is now in effect across much of the state as forecasters call for up to 8 inches today and tonight.

If it's not already snowing where you are, just give it a little longer. Accumulating snow should begin between noon-1 p.m. at the latest across Rhode Island, resulting in as many as 8 inches, the National Weather Service said Saturday morning.
Here are the important things to know:
- Much of the state upgraded to a winter storm warning Friday night, while the rest of the state is in a winter weather advisory.
- The snow begins from the south and moves north.
- The snow will persist through tonight. Sunday morning will see scattered snow showers.
- You could see snow turn into the dreaded wintry mix at points today and tonight.
- How much snow can you expect? The NWS issued an expected snowfall map Saturday morning, showing many towns in danger of up to 8 inches.

- This amount of snow is expected to bring with it travel delays. Whether traveling by ground or air today or tonight, check for possible delays.
