Stella A. Godon, Former Community News Manager, Dies at 99

Stella, A. (Miga) Gordon, 99, formerly of Campbell Avenue, Rumford, died on Sunday, Aug. 11 surrounded by her family at the Steere House Nursing Center in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Rev. S. Gerald Gordon. 

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Macig and Tekla (Swivod) Miga, she lived in Rumford for 41 years. 

Mrs. Gordon was a Manager of the former The Community News of East Providence. She enjoyed cats, plants and yard sales. 

She is survived by two grandchildren.

Her funeral will be private. Burial will be held in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
