The goal is education, AAA said.
“Proper use of booster seats, seat belts, bike helmets and the mindfulness of proper pedestrian safety skills save lives and prevent injuries,” said Diana Imondi Dias, AAA Northeast’s Traffic Safety Programs Manager. “We are always impressed by the quality of work and creativity of young people.”
According to the press release, the "Club hopes students will reflect on their own behavior regarding safety while using their creative ability to demonstrate safe behavior or remind the public about traffic laws. The winning posters will be showcased in a 2018 calendar and videos will be displayed on AAA.com and used in AAA’s traffic safety education programs."
Voting starts April 24. AAA members and website visitors can vote for their favorites in each grade level from April 24th to May 8, 2017. Winners will be announced May 15.
