EAST PROVIDENCE, RI - Food rescue mission, We Share Hope, has launched its new "Pantry Pickup" program, which allows residents to donate nonperishable food items right from home.

When someone schedules a Pantry Pickup, We Share Hope sends a local volunteer to the donor's home to collect their items. Volunteers bring these donations back to the We Share Hope warehouse in Rumford, where they are sorted and distributed out to Rhode Islanders facing food insecurity.

"The Pantry Pickup program is a simple way to include everyone in our mission to bridge the gap between hungry people and rescued food," says Johanna Corcoran, Executive Director of We Share Hope.
