Weaver Library In East Providence Opens Weekly Farmers' Market

The weekly farmers' market will begin Thursday, June 24 from 4 to 7 p.m.

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — The Weaver Library Farmers' Market is set to open for another summer of fresh, local foods, artisan goods, and live entertainment on Thursday, June 24 from 4 to 7 p.m.

The Farmers' Market, located at the Weaver Library Lawn, is a weekly event that will feature rotating vendors, including two bakers, a knife sharpener, and a pop-up artisan booth.

The Market Table is also returning this year with local products such as granola, hot sauce, maple syrup, market bags, and masks, and Marley's Earrings will offer creations from one of East Providence's youngest entrepreneurs who was recently featured on Channel 12. New this year, a book sale will be hosted by The Friends of the East Providence Library.

The Weaver Library Farmer's Market accepts SNAP/EBT, WIC Coupons, Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program coupons, and credit or debit cards. With help from a grant from Farm Fresh RI, SNAP customers can double their SNAP. For every dollar spent, they get a free dollar to be spent on fruits and vegetables.
