From RIPSWE: The Rhode Island Philharmonic Youth Summer Wind Ensemble (RIPYSWE) of the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra & Musical School performs on Friday, June 29, (rain date: June 30) 6:30pm, at the Seekonk Public Library Meadows. It is open to the public and admission is free.
The concert includes music from the Broadway productions of Dear Evan Hansen and Disney's Beauty and the Beast, and traditional band music by John Philip Sousa. RIPYSWE and the East Bay Summer Winds (EBSWE) will perform individually and then will come together for a joint performance. RIPYSWE is conducted by David Neves, Ph.D., and John F. Knasas, Jr., and EBSWE is led by David Marshall, director of bands for Somerset (Mass.) Berkley Regional High School.
