Lincoln Police Report Housebreak In Fairlawn Neighborhood

A resident of Reservoir Avenue called police before dawn on June 6 to report that a person had entered their home.

LINCOLN, RI — Lincoln police are advising residents to stay vigilant after a breaking and entering incident was reported in the Fairlawn neighborhood of Manville.

Police say they received a call from a Reservoir Avenue resident at around 4 a.m. on June 6. The caller reported that a person had apparently entered their home, rummaged through personal items and left them scattered on the kitchen floor, and then left leaving the front door open.

Officers determined that the suspect had entered the residence through a bathroom window. The suspect also rummaged through a vehicle that parked in the driveway, according to a release from Administrative Captain Philip Gould of the Lincoln Police Department.

Lincoln police are investigating. So far, they have no suspect description. Anyone with information relevant to the incident is asked to call Detective Wingate at 401- 333-8489.
