5 THINGS: Clarissa and Meetings
5 THINGS: It's Melissa Joan Hart's birthday, as well as the birthday for a certain nine-letter word.
Here are the (more than) Five Things for Thursday, April 18, 2013:

Has the time or date or details of one of your events changed? If you posted the event yourself on our site, then remember – You can always change the details if you’re logged into your Patch account. Failing that, leave a comment on the item in question! The issue is that lately, people have been e-mailing me, and depending on the time of the day, it can take me anywhere from 30 minutes or 30 hours to get to the item, unfortunately. As a result, I encourage you all to be as proactive as possible!

Oh no! Maybe there seriously aren’t that many events today, given that it’s Invention Day in Japan. As a result, our events calendar for today is a bit barren. If you’re having an event, please let us know in the comments. Also, make sure it isn’t left out in the future – Submit it via this link (as long as you’re logged into your Patch account).
Sign up for our daily newsletter! Hey, I realize we have a lot of neat features and knick-knacks on the site, so it can be confusing to keep up with it all. Want just one simple, easy to read daily digest? Sign up for our e-mail newsletter here then. It comes out between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. roughly, every single day of the week. Amazing, I know.
What’s a nine-letter word for something I only seem to do on the subway? On this day in 1924, Simon and Schuster released the first crossword puzzle book.
Clarissa did explain it all when we were kids… Happy 37th birthday to Melissa Joan Hart!
