5 THINGS: Marathon Aftermath and Other Coverage

Five Things you need to know for Tuesday, April 16, 2013.

South County residents accounted for in the aftermath in the Boston Marathon. At least when it comes to the six residents of Wakefield, Narragansett and Saunderstown who registered for the marathon, and their family members who went to watch, we’ve heard either firsthand from them or friends that they are all safe.

Newport woman remains in critical condition. This is as of late Monday night. We do have the name of the woman, but are not running it until a full notification of family members can be made, because of the severity of her injuries.

Has the time or date or details of one of your events changed? If you posted the event yourself on our site, then remember – You can always change the details if you’re logged into your Patch account. Failing that, leave a comment on the item in question! The issue is that lately, people have been e-mailing me, and depending on the time of the day, it can take me anywhere from 30 minutes or 30 hours to get to the item, unfortunately. As a result, I encourage you all to be as proactive as possible!

Oh no! Maybe there seriously aren’t that many events today, given that it’s World Voice Day. As a result, our events calendar for today is a bit barren. If you’re having an event, please let us know in the comments. Also, make sure it isn’t left out in the future – Submit it via this link (as long as you’re logged into your Patch account).
