5 THINGS: Three Day Week!

With only three actual work days this week, why not spice things up with some Five Things?

Here are the (more than) Five Things for Wednesday, January 2, 2012:

Story time! There is story time for 3 to 5-year-olds at the Peace Dale Library at 10:30 a.m. For more info, click here.

“Any actress who appears in public without being well-groomed is digging her own grave.” – Joan Crawford. You can take lessons in the great art of acting from the Contemporary Theater Company today at 5 p.m. For more info, click here.

Has the time or date or details of one of your events changed? If you posted the event yourself on our site, then remember – You can always change the details if you’re logged into your Patch account. Failing that, leave a comment on the item in question! The issue is that lately, people have been e-mailing me, and depending on the time of the day, it can take me anywhere from 30 minutes or 30 hours to get to the item, unfortunately. As a result, I encourage you all to be as proactive as possible!

Oh no! Maybe there seriously aren’t that many events today, given that it’s the second day of New Year in 10 countries. As a result, our events calendar for today is a bit barren. If you’re having an event, please let us know in the comments. Also, make sure it isn’t left out in the future – Submit it via this link (as long as you’re logged into your Patch account).

Falco presumably had no comment, since he wouldn’t be around for another 114 years. On this day in 1871, Amadeus I became the King of Spain.

Serious tip – His books are awesome if you’re into science fiction at all, and you should read the Foundation series. If Isaac Asimov was still alive, he’d be 93 today. He would also probably still be writing, since his output was ridiculous.
