Beat The Heat With Free Ice Skating
In honor of the heatwave, skate for free at the University of Rhode Island's Boss Ice Arena.

KINGSTON, RI — It's going to be incredibly hot this weekend, and Rhode Islanders are getting ready to beat the heat poolside, at the beach or just at home with an air conditioner. In honor of the extreme temperatures, the University of Rhode Island's Boss Ice Arena is offering a reminder of winter with free admission during Saturday's free skate.
Public skate runs from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday. During that time, anyone can come and skate for free, with rental skates available for only $5 per pair.
The arena already offers free public skate events every Wednesday throughout the summer, as well as Open Hockey, Rock 'N Skate, Stick 'N Puck and Learn To Skate programs. More information on programs and hours is available on the rink's website.
