Block Island Ferry Cancels Friday Trips
As Hurricane Dorian heads towards Southern New England, the Block Island Ferry canceled all high-speed and regular ferry trips on Friday.
NARRAGANSETT, RI — If you were hoping to head out to Block Island before Hurricane Dorian passes by Rhode Island, you're out of luck. The Block Island ferry canceled all service to and from the island on Friday.
All trips on both the fast and traditional ferries were canceled on Friday. The company has not yet said whether trips will run on Saturday.

Dorian is expected to cause high seas and strong winds in Rhode Island. The National Weather Service issued a high surf advisory from 4 p.m. Friday until 6 p.m. on Saturday.
