Chance Of Rain Shrinks For Tuesday At The Coast

Newport, which didn't get a drop of rain on Sunday but picked up an inch on Monday, had a 60 percent of more rain Monday night. But Tuesday? The hit or miss showers may continue on Tuesday. But spots like Newport and Narragansett have only a 20 percent chance of seeing any more rain or thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service. Coventry has a 30 percent chance of seeing stormy weather Tuesday. So do East Greenwich, Cranston, and Providence. But Woonsocket has a 50:50 chance of storms Tuesday. Everybody should be in the sun by Wednesday.

Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before midnight, then a chance of showers. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Patchy fog. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 69. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after noon. Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 84. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
