RI Weather: Rain & Chance Of Snow, Ice Thursday

A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for Rhode Island, including Block Island.

NARRAGANSETT, RI--The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Rhode Island where rain, snow and ice are in the forecast for Thursday. The coast is not expected to see much snow. But Coventry and other interior spots could pick up two inches. The good news? You probably won't have to shovel it. The snow shuts off around 10 p.m., and the rain's expected to wash it all away.

The rain could also cause some rivers to overflow, affecting people in Cranston, the Greater Providence area and South County. A flood warning is on for the Pawtuxet River in Cranston and the Pawcatuck and Wood rivers, affecting South County.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northern Connecticut, all of
Massachusetts east of Berkshire County, northern Rhode
Island and southern Rhode Island.
