Coast Guard Warns Fishing Fleet About Hurricane Chris
The National Weather Service expects the hurricane to impact waters off New England on Wednesday and Thursday.

NARRAGANSETT, RI—The Coast Guard says it flew from Air Station Cape Cod out to the fishing fleet to warn them about high waves and conditions linked to Hurricane Chris. The hurricane is traveling northeast away from the United States, according to the National Weather Service. But it will still have an impact on local waters. The conditions are expected to continue for two days on Wednesday and Thursday.
According to the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration's map, the hurricane winds were to arrive off the coast around 2 p.m. (Atlantic Standard Time) on Wednesday.
