David Macauley to Speak, Sign Books at Coastal Institute
The books author will talk about illustrating science.

NARRAGANSETT, RI -- One of Rhode Island's popular authors is headed to an Oct. 27 date at the University of Rhode Island's Coastal Institute.
David Macauley will sign books and speak about illustrating science. The event, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., is free, but RSVP requested.
His topic will be his creative method, specifically, according to the press release, "his use of research, illustration and humor to explain the intricacies of science, technology, architecture, and anything else he knows very little about."

Macauley is the author of The Way Things Work.
The sequel, The Way Things Work Now, hits the book shelves in October, but copies will be for sale for $21 at the Graduate School of Oceanography's event.
