First Beer Released This Weekend for Sons of Liberty

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI —Sons of Liberty’s monthly Freedom Fridays series is welcoming a few new players to the party this Friday, September 30th, as the distillery releases its new Gala Apple Whiskey and brings back its infamous Pumpkin Spice Whiskey.

With the distillery’s recent acquisition of a brewer’s license, it will be offering for the first time, two beers for sampling and purchase, including a small-batch of a Barrel-Aged Belgian Trappist Style Ale.

Only 30 bottles of the Barrel-Aged (aged in Battle Cry barrels), Belgian Trappist Style Ale will be available so hurry down to the distillery and grab a cold one while they last. To compliment the typical kick-ass offerings of Freedom Fridays with delicious eats, live music and interactive games, Sons of Liberty will also be featuring the newest creation in its seasonal line with Gala Apple, a fall seasonal whiskey made with more than 9,000 locally grown and harvested gala apples.

The return of the highly anticipated Pumpkin Spice marks the 5th year that this “World’s Best” flavored whiskey will be offered for a limited, seasonal time. In addition to the new beers and seasonal whiskies, Sons of Liberty will also be offering a special beer-whiskey flight for $10, which features UPRISING single-malt, UPRISING beer, Battle Cry single-malt and Battle Cry beer.

Getting the party started will be local singer/songwriter, Mickey Lamantia, who will be performing live, continuing his Outlaw Uprising Tour after returning from Nashville where he was recording his EP. All this great booze and music will be accompanied by the tastiest BBQ north of the Mason Dixon with grub provided by Eddies BBQ.
