Historic Carriage House on Ocean Road Sells for $1.1M

The carriage house at 434 Ocean Road was built around 1887.

NARRAGANSETT, RI — An historic carriage house set in the private enclave, known as Wild Field Farm, located at 434 Ocean Road in Narragansett, was sold on June 16 for $1,100,000, according to Lila Delman Real Estate International, which was both the listing and the selling company. Gladys Barbosa, sales associate, represented the seller. Tim Haxton, sales associate, represented the buyer.

“This Ocean Road historic carriage house, located in the estate area, epitomizes the charm of a century-old converted classic, set on a rolling acre with ocean views,” Barbosa said. “It captured the heart of a family looking for a special gathering spot in beautiful Narragansett.”

The carriage house built, which dates from about 1887, is sited on an acre with garden terraces. Measuring 4,117 square feet (across two levels), the house has three bedrooms, two full and two half baths, three fireplaces, and a two-car detached garage.
