Inmate Charged With 6 More Felony Domestic Offenses
Jason Morris, who is already serving a year at the ACI, is charged with six more felony counts for violating a no-contact order.

Jason M. Morris, 27, of the ACI in Cranston and formerly of Wakefield, was arrested at about 9:19 a.m. on Feb. 13 and charged with six felony counts of violating a no-contact order.
According to police, they received multiple complaints from a woman about Morris’ behavior. The woman said that between Jan. 9 and Feb. 12, Morris had made multiple attempts to contact her.

Police said that the woman provided them with letters from Morris that mentioned her. Police also found calls logged from the ACI to the woman’s home, from a family member of Morris to the victim, and from a girlfriend of a fellow inmate to the victim.
According to police, after investigating all of these were construed as violations of a no-contact order between Morris and the victim, and he was charged with six additional felonies.

Police noted that Morris is currently serving a year at the ACI for domestic offenses against the same victim, and has at least six previous domestic convictions.
South Kingstown police arrested Morris for similar charges in December and October. Felony screening for his most recent arrests is scheduled for March 26. Morris has 22 entries on the online database, dating back to 2004, for various offenses ranging from disorderly conduct to assault and violating protective orders.
