Kingston Woman, 90, ID'd As Fatal Crash Victim
Lilian Holmsen, 90, was hit by a garbage truck outside the Narragansett Community Center.
NARRAGANSETT, RI — The victim of Monday's fatal pedestrian crash in Narragansett has been identified as 90-year-old Lilian Holmsen, a Kingston resident. Holmsen was hit by a garbage truck and pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Narragansett police, the crash happened outside the Narragansett Community Center at 53 Mumford Road around 11:30 a.m. No charges have been filed against the driver at this time.
The crash is still under investigation by the Narragansett Police Department and the Rhode Island State Police Commercial Enforcement Unit.
