League Welcomes Questions for Local Candidates

League of Women Voters South County Welcomes Questions for South Kingstown and Narragansett Local and State Legislative Candidates

The League of Women Voters - South County announces that they will not be hosting Candidate Forums for South Kingstown and Narragansett this year. Instead, the League will be requesting that general election candidates for town council, school committee and the state legislature provide written answers to questions which will be published as a Voter’s Guide in the local print and digital papers with links to the questions and answers and on the League Facebook page, (facebook.com/LWVRISC). The Guide will provide an alternative opportunity for voters to learn more about the candidates campaigning for offices in Narragansett and South Kingstown and representing these towns in the state legislature

The League encourages residents of Narragansett and South Kingstown to submit questions for the candidates for whom they are constituents. Questions may be submitted for consideration: by email to: lwvscVS2020@gmail.com; online anonymously at: https://forms.gle/dLNbf86T4Yu14GRNA; and by U.S. mail to: LWVSC, P.O. Box 1636, Westerly, RI 028891-1636, Attn: Voter Services Committee. Please specify to which candidate position(s) your question(s) should be directed. Also, please note that the wording of a question may be changed and that there is no guarantee that a given question will be used.

The deadline for question submission is August 25th.
