Letter: Re-Elect Michelle Brousseau

Michelle Brousseau has experience, respect for the community, and educational vision to lead SK through challenging times

If the last two years in South Kingstown have taught us anything, it’s the value of experienced leadership on the school committee. As the School Committee majority has shed transparency and accountability, one member has remained a calming, trusted voice of reason.

Michelle Brousseau, an experienced educator of 33 years, has followed a data-driven perspective, has shown the courage to oppose short-sighted proposals, has asked tough but fair questions of administration, and has shown consistent respect for the needs of the teachers, students, and taxpayers of South Kingstown.

Michelle is a lifelong resident of South Kingstown and has taught at all levels throughout her career as an educator. Her questions and statements from the school committee table reflect a genuine concern for the district and town. As we enter into uncharted waters created by the COVID pandemic, it’s more important than ever to have someone of Ms. Brousseau’s experience and perspective at the SC table.
