Narragansett-SK Hero Made, Donated More Than 10k Masks

NARRAGANSETT-SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.
This submission comes from Christine Chase, who nominated Jessica Pena Solo, who started an organization that donated thousands of masks to first responders during the COVID-19 pandemic. Chase nominated Solo after buying a mask from her group.

"Jessica has started and spearheaded the South County Masketeers Group at the start of the COVID Pandemic," Chase wrote. "She administers the South County Masketeers Facebook Group. Her group have made/donated over 10,000 masks for First Responders ... She is an energetic and dynamic leader who has donated well over 10,000 face masks to state-wide First Responders."
