Narragansett Teen Charged With Domestic Disorderly Conduct

Benjamin K. Sekator, 18, of 66 Tupelo Trail, Narragansett, was arrested at about 2:34 a.m. on March 7 and charged with domestic disorderly conduct.

According to police, based on an investigation of Sekator’s actions and statements from two family members, it appeared that he had ingested a substance and had a reaction to it, breaking a mirror in the process. Police noted that Sekator’s eyes were wandering around the room, and he appeared to be in a trance.

Based on Sekator’s condition, he was transported to South County Hospital for his injuries. After his discharge, he was arrested and charged with domestic disorderly conduct.

Police said that when Sekator was asked about his behavior, he admitted to consuming mushrooms earlier in the evening, and at some point he had blacked out. He was held for arraignment at Fourth Division District Court in the morning.

Victim: $13,000 Watch Stolen by Girls from Craigslist

At about 12:13 a.m. on March 6, police received a report of a stolen watch from an apartment on Boon Street.

According to police, a 38-year-old Narragansett man told them that while he was sleeping, someone had stolen a $13,000 watch from his wrist.

Police said that when they asked who was at the apartment, the man told them a couple of girls from Providence he had found on Craigslist. He was unable to provide names, and the only description he had was that they were black, and one was short with tattoos on her arms.

According to police, while describing the incident, the man became hesitant to cooperate. He would not say why the women had come over, or what had happened at the apartment.

Eventually, the man told police that he did not want to press charges, or file a report, when contacted by detectives on March 7. His report was kept for informational purposes.
