Man Killed In South Kingstown Crash
South Kingstown police said a driver crashed into a tree on Usquepaugh Road.
SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — A man was killed in a crash near South County Trail over the weekend. Police have not released the victim's identity.
South Kingstown police said the driver went off the road on Usquepaugh Road just east of South County Trail on Saturday. He crashed into a small tree and several shrubs, police said. The driver was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by first responders.
Once freed, the man was taken to South County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Speed is not believed to have been a factor in the crash. The South Kingstown Police Accident Reconstruction team is investigating.
