Man Sentenced to Probation For 28th Arrest
Harold Weeden, 47, pleads no contest to a crack cocaine possession charge in February, his 28th court case.

Harold Weeden, 47, of 188A High St., South Kingstown, pleaded no contest on Feb. 20 to a South Kingstown police charge of felony drug possession of crack cocaine.
Weeden was ordered to serve an 18-month suspended sentence and 18 months of probation, to complete substance abuse counseling and to pay $788 in assessments.

According to South Kingstown police reports included in court files, police initially arrested Weeden after hours at Old Mountain Field in July 2011.
Police said that when they approached a car Weeden was in, they noted signs of that someone had recently smoked crack, and a pat-down of Weeden revealed a small baggie of the substance.

Weeden has 27 previous arrests, according to online records:
- In October 2010, a South Kingstown police charge of disorderly conduct was dismissed.
- In June 2010, he pleaded no contest to a South Kingstown police charge of disorderly conduct. He was ordered to serve six months probation. An additional charge of assault was dismissed.
- Also in June 2010, a South Kingstown police charge of receiving stolen goods was dismissed.
- In February 2010, South Kingstown police charges of felony drug possession, domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct were dismissed.
- In June 2009, he pleaded no contest to a South Kingstown police charge of driving with a suspended license. He was ordered to pay a fine.
- In March 2005, he pleaded no contest to a South Kingstown police charge of driving with a suspended license. He was ordered to serve 60 days home confinement.
- In August 2003, he pleaded no contest to Narragansett police charges of obstruction and driving with a suspended license. He was ordered to serve a year of probation and a year-long suspended sentence.
- In July 2003, a South Kingstown police charge of assault was dismissed.
- In June 2003, he pleaded no contest to a Providence police charge of driving with a suspended license. He was ordered to pay a fine, and to serve a year of probation and a year-long suspended sentence. Following probation violations, he was ordered to serve 10 days home confinement, and 10 days at the ACI.
- In December 2002, he pleaded no contest to Cranston police charges of obstruction and driving with a suspended license. He was ordered to serve a year of probation and a year-long suspended sentence. An additional charge of felony domestic assault for a third offense was dismissed.
- In April 2000, he pleaded no contest to a South Kingstown police charge of driving with a suspended license. He was ordered to serve four months home confinement, followed by eight months probation and an eight-month suspended sentence. Following a probation violation, he was ordered to serve 30 days at the ACI. An additional charge of obstruction was dismissed.
- In January 2000, he pleaded no contest to Narragansett police felony charges domestic property destruction and domestic disorderly conduct. He was ordered to serve 15 days at the ACI, followed by 350 days probation and a 350-day suspended sentence, and to complete substance abuse and domestic violence counseling.
- In October 1999, he pleaded no contest to a North Kingstown police charge of driving with a suspended license. He was ordered to serve 30 days at the ACI, followed by 11 months probation and an 11-month suspended sentence, and to pay a fine.
- In January 1999, he pleaded no contest to a state police charge of escaping from a correctional facility. He was ordered to serve a year of probation and a year-long suspended sentence, and to make donations to the Violent Crimes Indemnity Fund and the probation fund.
- In June 1998, he pleaded no contest to two Narragansett police charges of driving with a suspended license. He was ordered to serve three months at the ACI, to serve nine months probation and a nine-month suspended sentence, and to pay a fine.
- In February 1997, he pleaded no contest to a state police charge of driving with a suspended license. He was ordered to pay a fine and serve a year of probation.
- In July 1996, he pleaded no contest to a Narragansett police charge of driving without a valid license. He was ordered to pay a fine.
- In October 1994, he pleaded no contest to East Providence police charges of domestic assault and assault. He was ordered to serve a year of probation and a year-long suspended sentence, and to pay a fine and restitution.
- In September 1993, a Cranston police charge of driving with a suspended license was dismissed.
- In August 1993, he pleaded no contest to an East Providence police charge of domestic assault. He was ordered to serve a year of probation and a year-long suspended sentence, and to make contributions to the domestic violence, probation and Violent Crime Indemnity Fund.
- In April 1993, he pleaded no contest to an East Providence police charge of driving with a suspended license. He was ordered to pay a fine, and to make donations to the probation fund and the Violent Crime Indemnity Fund.
- Also in April 1993, a Cranston police charge of driving with a suspended license was dismissed.
- In February 1993, an East Providence police charge of assault was filed.
- In October 1992, a Providence police charge of driving with a suspended license was dismissed.
- In May 1992, he pleaded no contest to an East Providence police charge of domestic disorderly conduct. He was ordered to serve six months probation and a six-month suspended sentence, and to make payments to the probation fund and the Violent Crimes Indemnity Fund.
- In August 1989, he pleaded no contest to a state police felony charge of leaving the scene of an accident with serious injury resulting. He was ordered to serve 36 months probation and to make contributions to the Violent Crimes Indemnity Fund and the probation fund.
- In June 1989, he pleaded no contest to an East Providence police felony charge of drug possession. He was ordered to serve 18 months probation, and to make contributions to the probation fund and the Violent Crimes Indemnity Fund.
Weeden also has other charges still pending.
- A trial calendar call for a South Kingstown police charge of felony assault is scheduled for May 2 or June 12.
