According to police, when they caught up with the woman, she was parked behind the truck on Main Street, near Robinson Street. Police noted that the driver of the truck – Longa – smelled of alcohol, and his pants seemed to be stained with urine.
Police said that when asked about the stain, Longa told them, “The sound of running water makes me have to go to the bathroom, so when I was just pumping gas a few minutes ago, I pissed my pants when I heard the sound of the gasoline.”
According to police, Longa consented to field sobriety tests, which he failed. Police said Longa consented to chemical breath tests at headquarters, which revealed blood alcohol levels of .213 at 11:16 p.m. and .214 at 11:20 p.m.
Police said Longa was arrested without incident, processed at headquarters and then released at about 12:20 a.m. on April 20.
