Mystic Aquarium Teams Up With Rhode Island Brewery
"Grey Seal Ale" is a blond ale named for "Lou-Seal" a rescued seal who was brought to Mystic for rehabilitation.

A Rhode Island brewery has teamed up with Mystic Aquarium to create a special pale ale honoring a temporary resident of the aquarium's rehabilitation program. Grey Sail Brewing in Westerly created "Gray Seal Ale," named for Lou-Seal, an adult gray seal who was rescued after becoming stranded in Bermuda and brought to Mystic for care before being re-released on May 30.
The label was designed by Kyle Reichman, a Newport-based designer. It features a gray seal swimming in the ocean and information about the aquarium's animal rescue program.
"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate with such a wonderful local business to help raise awareness of our mission," Roslyn Gilhuly, the senior vice president of external relations at Mystic Aquarium, said. "This partnership has given us a unique – and delicious - way to honor not only Lou-Seal, but the more than 500 marine animals we have rescued, rehabilitated, and released back into their ocean environment."
