NARRAGANSETT, RI—Susan Cicilline-Buonanno, the Narragansett town council president, appeared on the reality TV program "Live PD," which was being filmed in Warwick. She was pulled over for a sobriety test. Cicilline-Buonanno, who was not identified on the program, was recognized, however, by numerous viewers. She was not charged. According to the Providence Journal's report, she issued a statement Sunday night about the incident and said she was not impaired while she was behind the wheel.

"I realize that people understandably hold elected officials and educators to higher standards, so I just want to emphasize that the Warwick Police allowed me to leave that evening because I was not impaired in any way," she said.

Police gave her a ride home.
