Narragansett Police Log: January 31 and February 1, 2013
Police cite four, all for various alcohol-related offenses.

Unless otherwise noted, information about the following incidents was supplied by the Narragansett Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Alcohol Violations
- Brian K. Towne, 20, of 2 Kathy St., Narragansett, was cited at about 9:03 p.m. on Jan. 31 and charged with transportation of alcohol by a minor. Police said Towne is a student at the University of Rhode Island.

According to police, an officer traveling behind a black Honda Accord on Point Judith Road near Cumberland Farms noted that it had a defective brake light. A traffic stop was made on Durkin Drive.
Police said when they asked Towne if he had any beer in the car, he told police that his passenger had a 12-pack of Bud Light Platinum in the trunk. Police seized the beer, and Towne was cited for the alcohol.

- Peter M. Kloak, 20, of 100 Marine Drive, Narragansett, was cited at about 7:45 p.m. on Feb. 1 and charged with transportation of alcohol by a minor. Police said Kloak is a student at the University of Rhode Island.
According to police, an officer driving behind a green Pontiac coupe on Point Judith Road noted that it didn’t have headlights or taillights on. As a result, a traffic stop was made in the 800-section of Point Judith Road.
Police said when Kloak was asked if he had any alcohol in the car, he told police there was some in the trunk. Police said a bottle of Smirnoff vodka, a bottle of Sky Vodka and 18 Miller High Life beers were confiscated, and Kloak was cited.
Two Cited for Improper IDs at Bon Vue
According to police, two URI students were cited for fake IDs when trying to enter the Bon Vue at about 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 31. The students were identified as Bridge Anne McLoughlin, 19, of 612 Huntington Road, Stratford, CT, and Lauren E. Plante, 19, of 505 Cherry Farm Road, Harrisville.
Police said both McLoughlin and Plante tried to use fake IDs to gain entrance to the bar. Staff at the bar asked police to scan their IDs, which revealed discrepancies. Both IDs were confiscated, and the women were allowed to leave after being issued citations.
