Narragansett, South Kingstown Water Ban Loosened
The full water ban has been modified to every other day and weekends.
NARRAGANSETT-SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — The water ban in Narragansett and South Kingstown has been loosened due to less demand on the water system from fewer seasonal residents and tourists, town officials announced Monday. Instead of the previous full water ban, water restrictions are now only in place on weekends and every other day.
The policy includes all Narragansett water system customers, as well as SUEZ customers and both the South Shore and Middlebridge in South Kingstown. Kingston water district customers are not affected.
Starting now, outdoor water restrictions will be in place from 6 p.m. Fridays until midnight on Sundays, as well as every other day: odd-numbered addresses can use water on odd-numbered days and even-numbered addresses on even days.
