Obituary: Irene C. Mason, 93

Irene C. Mason, 93, of South Kingstown passed away after a short illness on Tuesday March 22, 2016. She was the wife of the late Russell H. Mason, Sr.

Born in South Kingstown, she was the daughter of the late Leger Houde and Marie (Pelletier) Houde. Loving mother of Diane and her husband Frank Filiberto, Russell and his wife Patricia Mason, Marion and her husband Ron Linke, Robert and his wife Julie Mason, James and his wife Maria Mason, Rose and her husband Mickey Crandall and Joseph and his wife Julie Mason with whom she resided for the last 10 years. She had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Mason was a principal cook at University of Rhode Island for 35 years before retiring. She enjoyed going to yard sales, doing ceramics, and was an avid reader. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
