Obituary: Michael J. Benoit, 28

Michael J.Benoit, 28, of Wakefield, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 17, 2016.

Born in Providence, a son of Gary F. and Paula (Loiselle) Benoit of Wakefield. Michael was a recent graduate of the University of Rhode Island; an avid soccer and football fan; enjoyed Narragansett Beach, body building, bike riding, auto mechanics and music.

Besides his parents he is survived by his brother, Derek N. Benoit and his companion, Meredith Murphy of Wareham, MA; a nephew, Logan; a niece, Addyson and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at 8:30 am from the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 am in Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Rd., Kingston.

Visiting hours Monday 4-7 pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Galilee Mission, 268 Kingstown Rd., Narragansett, RI 02882.
