Obituary: Rodney Owen Tyler, 80, Maintenance Supervisor

Rodney Owen Tyler, 80, of Carolina, passed away Saturday. He was the husband of the late Pauline a. (Ferraro) Tyler.

Born in South Kingstown, he was a son of the late Edward A. and Blanche E. (Brown) Tyler. Mr. Tyler was a Maintenance Supervisor for the Charlestown School Department for over 30 years. He enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, was an avid Boston Red Sox Fan, and he cherished the time he spent with his family.

He is survived by two sons, Michael J. Tyler and his wife Brenda of Cranston and Edward A. Tyler of Carolina; three grandchildren, Erin M. Lynch of Carolina, Victoria C. Tyler of Cranston and April Lynn Tyler of Iowa; and three sisters, Gertrude Zega of Carolina, Mary Ellen Smith of New Hampshire, and Virginia Bowen of Bradford. He was the brother of the late Harold Tyler and Clifford Tyler.

Visiting hours are at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Tuesday, 5 -7 pm. Private burial will take place in White Brook Cemetery, Carolina.
