Over $5,000 Raised for South Kingstown Family After Home Burns Down
The Jones family lost everything in the fire, which happened just a few days before Thanksgiving.

A South Kingstown family whose home burned down a few days before Thanksgiving has received an outpouring of support.
More than 100 people have donated money to the Jones family through an online fundraiser. The total as of Monday morning was $5,605.
Officials said a faulty extension cord caused the blaze, which burned down the family’s home at 1066 Plains Rd. Kim and Michael Jones and their three children escaped unharmed.
