Parking Bans In Narragansett, South Kingstown For Snowstorm
Students won't be getting a traditional day off from school.
NARRAGANSETT-SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — Parking bans are in place in both Narragansett and South Kingstown ahead of a storm that's expected to drop a foot or more of snow on the state.
In Narragansett, the parking ban went into effect 4 p.m. Wednesday and lasts until 4 p.m. Thursday. South Kingstown, meanwhile, has a parking ban from 7 p.m. through Thursday.
Students in Narragansett won't enjoy a traditional snow day. Instead, the district planned for an asynchronous learning day, meaning students won't be held to a traditional school day schedule. Teachers will share assignments in the morning, and will hold office hours to offer assistance and answer questions.
