PD Parking Lot Run Ends in Arrest

According to South Kingstown police, a man tries to elude arrest by running through their parking lot. South Kingstown police logs from April 9, 2013.

Man Tries to Evade Police by Running Through Police Parking Lot

Joshua Allen Robinson, 20, of 364 Curtis Corner Road, Apt. #B11, South Kingstown, was arrested at about 7:59 a.m. on April 9 and charged with resisting arrest. Police said a Fourth Division District Court warrant was also out for his arrest.

According to police, on April 8 officers received word that a warrant was out for Robinson’s arrest. Police said that the next day, an officer leaving headquarters saw Robinson walking east on Kingstown Road.

Police said that when they spoke to Robinson and asked him to stop, he instead tried to run away through the police parking lot. Police said another officer in a car pulled ahead of Robinson and blocked his path, at which point he was arrested.

According to police, Robinson was processed at headquarters and transported to Fourth Division District Court for arraignment at about 11 a.m.

South Kingstown Man Charged With Violating No-Contact Order

James A. Neill, 51, of 280 Shannock Road, South Kingstown, was arrested at about 8:20 p.m. on April 9 and charged with violating a no-contact order.

According to police, they received a complaint that Neill was removing items from a home on Lake Avenue. Police confirmed that a no-contact order was out between Neill and the property owner of the home.

Police said that Neill had fled the scene shortly before they arrived. However, police said they found him – extremely intoxicated – under a tree on a nearby property. He was arrested without incident, processed and held for arraignment on April 10.

South Kingstown Man Arrested for Warrant

Harold L. Weeden, 47, of 188 High St., Apt. #A, South Kingstown, was arrested at about 12 p.m. on April 9. Police said a Fourth Division District Court warrant was out for Weeden’s arrest.

According to police, officers knew a warrant was out for Weeden’s arrest and attempted to serve it at his home. Police said that while pulling into Weeden’s driveway, a car with him in it pulled out.

Police said a traffic stop was made on High Street near Northup Street of the car. Weeden’s identity was confirmed, and he was arrested without incident, police said.

According to police, Weeden was processed at headquarters and then transported to court for arraignment at about 2 p.m.
