Pit Bull Helps Police Collar Suspect: South Kingstown
South Kingstown police raided a house on Branch Street at 7:30 Friday morning and arrested two.

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — The house at 20 Branch St.,has been implicated in several crimes, South Kingstown Police say. On Friday morning, they raided it and arrested two residents who allegedly fought officers and attempted to flee. A neighbor's pit bull joined the fight between officers and one of the residents, Daniel J. Henley, 48. He was treated at South County Hospital for his injuries and released with a summons. Two other residents are still at large.
According to police, officers with the patrol and detective division went to the house around 7:30 this morning with a search warrant. The warrant was obtained as a result of a narcotics investigation this month, which included a focus on the house because the residents were "suspects in numerous crimes," police said.
The homeowner, Sandra Henley, 69, also put up a fight. She was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest. Police said she ignored their commands, tried to run away and kicked an officer several times. She was taken to the police station and released with a summons for a future court date.
