According to police, an officer monitoring traffic on Point Judith Road near Fisherman’s Memorial Park clocked a car at 68 miles per hour in a 45 mile per hour zone.
However, police said that as they attempted to close the distance on the man and make a traffic stop, the car was pulling away still. Police noted in pursuit, the officer was losing ground at 75 miles per hour, and at one point clocked the car was 80 miles per hour near Foddering Farm Road.

Police said that the car was still traveling at 69 miles per hour as it approached the 30 mile per hour zone near Westmoreland Street. Police said that following an air horn blast, the car finally came to a stop by slamming on its brakes in the right-hand travel lane of Point Judith Road near the Salt Pond Plaza.
According to police, the car’s driver – Fesik – was still operating the vehicle dangerously, and the officer had to put his car into reverse to avoid being hit by Fesik’s car as it inexplicable tried to go backwards.
Police said that when they approached Fesik’s car, he tried to exit the vehicle, and had to be told to stay inside his car. Police noted that Fesik and the interior of the car smelled strongly of alcohol.
According to police, Fesik consented to field sobriety tests, which he failed. He was arrested as a result. Police said an inventory of Fesik’s car revealed 15 small baggies of marijuana, with 0.5 grams each, which he was charged for as well.
Police said that during processing, Fesik refused to consent to chemical breath tests. He allegedly told police, “I know you pulled me over because I was speeding,” and “I didn’t drink anything, I’m just nervous. I didn’t want to drink, I didn’t try to drink, I’m so hurt. I’m not clear-headed.”
According to police, Fesik was processed and then released after about 5 a.m.
