QUONSET, RI — For the second time in a month, a presidential plane landed on an Ocean State runway. President Joe Biden touched down in Air Force One Wednesday, en route to the Coast Guard Academy graduation ceremony in New London, Connecticut.

The president arrived at Quonset Point around 10 a.m. State leaders were on hand to greet him, including Gov. Dan McKee and Rhode Island National Guard Maj. Gen. Christopher Callahan.

Biden was not the first top government official to visit the ocean state this month. On May 5, Vice President Kamala Harris toured the state on a visit centered around small business. Along with Harris was governor-turned-commerce secretary Gina Raimondo.
