- Jamestown First Day Plunge — The first day plunge will take place at noon, but festivities will start at 10 a.m. at the recreation center, 41 Conanicus Ave.

- The 2013 Pier Plunge takes place at noon at the North Beach Clubhouse at Narragansett Town Beach. Registration is from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., followed by the plunge. The donation cost is $20, which includes a beach towel for the first 325 people registering. For more info, click here.
Newport
- 34th Annual New Year's Day Polar Bear Plunge — The plunge will begin at noon at Easton's Beach. The plunge will benefit A Wish Come True Foundation.Â
PortsmouthÂ
- New Year's Plunge — Participants meet just before noon at The Beach House, 500 Park Ave. This plunge will be the first event celebrating the town's 375th anniversary this year! Volunteers hope 375 residents "take the plunge!"
TivertonÂ
- The second annual Tiverton Yacht Club's Penguin Plunge — The plunge will take place at noon at Grinnell's Beach, Main Road and Lawton Avenue in Tiverton. The event is free and open to public. A $10 donation will be accepted to benefit the Tiverton Library.Â
Westerly
- The WARM Shelter will be holding their seventh annual Penguin Plunge at 10:30 a.m. in Watch Hill. For more info, click here.
