URI Rams Wing Creighton 84-72: Oregon's Next Sunday
University of Rhode Island's men's basketball team is 11 seed in the Midwest region. Check out this graphic to see all the teams.
SACRAMENTO, CA — URI threw up a lot of bricks in the first round match against Creighton in the NCAA Tournament. But the Rams held Creighton off and won 84-72. The Blue Jays made a couple of runs in the second half; and every time, URI almost broke the game open, they made a play. But Creighton came no closer than 5 points to catching up. Now, the Rams will face Oregon, the nation's 9th ranked team.
